Super 30 stars Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur interacted with children of an NGO, Dance Out Of Poverty, for a promotional event on Tuesday.
A video from the event shared by a paparazzo on his Instagram account shows Hrithik sitting on the floor as he enjoys the performance put up by the kids for him. The clip is taking the internet by storm, with more than 65,000 views so far.
Netizens cannot stop gushing over the actor’s down-to-earth nature. “Most generous man I have seen. Hrithik, you are BEST,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “Most humble person”.
Directed by Vikas Bahl, Super 30 marks Hrithik’s entry into the biopic genre. The film tells the story of math wizard Anand Kumar, the founder of the educational programme Super 30, which trains 30 meritorious students from low-income backgrounds to crack the famously tough IIT-JEE.
At the India Today Mind Rocks Indore 2019, the Patna-based mathematician said that the film was not just the story of his life. “Yeh film ek Anand Kumar ki kahaani nahi hai, balki un tamaam shikshakon ki kahaani hai jo bachchon ki behtar zindagi ke liye apni poori taqat lagate hai. Yeh film dekhne ke baad har nirdhan parivaar ke bachche mein ummeed jaagegi ki mehnat se kuch bhi sambhav hai.
Super 30 was in a swirling vortex of controversy when serious allegations of sexual misconduct were levelled against director Vikas Bahl by a former employee of Phantom Films. Though the filmmaker was asked to step down after being accused of indecent behaviour, his name was brought back in the credits after he was given a clean chit, following an internal investigation.
Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment and (the now-defunct) Phantom Films, Super 30 also stars Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Tripathi and Nandish Sandhu in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres this Friday (July 12).
