Sanjay Dutt is leaving no stones unturned for his upcoming period drama Panipat. After hitting the gym to get the required physique, the actor is also making sure he perfects his art in carrying the heavy armour which weighs around 35 kg. The actor has completed one-and-a-half month schedule shooting in Jaipur and is now gearing up for next schedule.
According to reports, the Munna Bhai MBBS actor is wearing one of the heaviest armours till date. Right before wearing the heavy armour for the shoot, the actor would hit the gym so that he can give his best to the scene. The armour is inspired by the armours worn by the kings during that era.
In 2018, when the actor went for a hair, make-up and costume trials, the armour was specially designed according to Dutt’s personality. Not only this, but Sanjay Dutt also followed a strict diet while he was shooting in Jaipur. His diet included salads rich in protein, chicken, with no fat and fish. To portray the character of an Afghan King, Sanjay Dutt had cut down fat and carb. The actor also had a gym where he stayed to workout whenever he was free.
Directed by filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, the film also stars Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles. As per reports, the film would have a gigantic star cast comprising of 110 actors. Panipat is scheduled to release on December 6, this year. Panipat is based on the Third Battle of Panipat that was fought on January 14, 1761 between the king of Afghanistan Ahmad Shah Abdali and Marathas.
Currently, Sanjay Dutt is busy promoting his upcoming film Kalank, which has Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles. The film will hit screens on April 19. The recently released teaser and song of the film has gone viral on the internet.
