Former OSU assistant coach Zach Smith charged with violating civil safety order


DELAWARE CO., Ohio (WCMH) — A former assistant coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes has been arrested and charged with violating a safety order.

Based on the Delaware County Sheriff’s Workplace, Zach Smith is dealing with expenses after an incident at his youngsters’s faculty. The sheriff’s workplace acquired calls that Smith was being confrontational with workers members at Scioto Ridge Elementary College who weren’t letting Smith decide up his youngsters.

Deputies confirmed that Smith was violating a civil safety order, and so they arrested him and charged him for that violation.

Smith was fired from OSU after his ex-wife filed for a safety order. Then-head coach City Meyer was suspended for his dealing with of the home violence allegations towards Smith.

Smith’s lawyer despatched NBC4 the next assertion:

“Usual standard.  Completely malicious transfer by his ex-wife to have Zach arrested at their children’ faculty when he was there to select them up. She’s in contempt of courtroom for not giving him the youngsters to him final night time which she was purported to. Simply very unhappy for the youngsters. 100% avoidable by each of them.”
