Vols signal 7-foot Arizona State switch Uros Plavsic | School Basketball


KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee has signed 7-foot Arizona State switch Uros Plavsic.

Plavsic graduated from Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee earlier than redshirting with Arizona State final season. Plavsic is initially from Ivanjica, Serbia, however moved to america in October 2017.

Tennessee coach Rick Barnes mentioned in a press release Tuesday that Plavsic is “a robust, bodily participant who can maintain his personal within the paint, and his offensive talent set might permit him to play away from the basket, retaining the ground spaced.”

Plavsic plans to enroll at Tennessee for the primary session of summer season college.

Tennessee athletic division spokesman Tom Satkowiak says Plavsic will search an NCAA waiver enabling the 7-foot heart to play for the Volunteers instantly. As a result of Plavsic is not a graduate switch, he must sit out the 2019-20 season if he is not granted a waiver.
