The Bollywood beauty is coming to Netflix
Superhero mania is coming to Netflix, and it will star Priyanka Chopra. The actress has signed onto to the streaming service’s latest project, which will be written, produced and directed by Robert Rodriguez, who was behind the Spy Kids franchise.
The upcoming sci-fi fantasy film is titled We Can Be Heroes and will feature a diverse cast, including: Christian Slater, Boyd Holbrook, Sung Kang and Pedro Pascal. The film will tell the story of alien invaders who kidnapped Earth’s superheroes leaving a group of children to team up with their parents to save the world. Not much is known about Priyanka’s role, but she is expected to play one of the parents.
Little to nothing has been revealed about the film so far, but we do know that production has kicked off in Texas, United States of America. This is set to be Priyanka’s first appearance since Isn’t It Romantic, a rom-com with Rebel Wilson, Liam Hemsworth and Adam DeVine, which was released last Valentines Day. Moreover, the Quantico actress is making her Bollywood comeback with The Sky is Pink, a film based on the motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, which will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The 37-year-old is back to work after supporting her husband Nick Jonas on his Happiness Begins tour with the Jonas Brothers. She was last spotted looking like a Bond girl in New York along with her sister-in-law, Sophie Turner, while celebrating Joe Jonas’ 30th birthday. As usual, Priyanka stunned in a feathered mini dress and fluffy shoes from Jordanian/Romanian designer Amina Muaddi.
