Simon Tilley, partner at Inflexion Private Equity Partners, has left the firm to move to investment bank Stephens.
Tilley is joining the bank as managing director responsible for European sponsor coverage for the US bank.
He leaves Inflexion, which has £5.4bn in assets under management, after almost two years at the firm. He joined the UK-based private equity house in 2017 from DC Advisory, where he worked for 16 years, latterly as managing director and head of European financial sponsors.
Stephens set up its European operations in 2014 by establishing offices in London and Frankfurt. The investment bank focuses on the business services, consumer, financial services, healthcare, industrials, TMT and transport services sectors in Europe. Stephens Europe employs 46 people in total, of which 35 are based in London.
“With his extensive experience in the private equity space, Simon will further strengthen Stephens’ ability to capitalise on transatlantic deal flow,” said Brad Eichler, an executive in Stephens’ investment banking practice.
