RAM AND GAUTAMI’S LOVE STORY
Ram and Gautami met on the sets of Ghar Ek Mandir, and despite their different personalities connected with each other and got married. While Gautami was reserved and kept things to herself, Ram was known to be a casanova. Ram apparently proposed to Gautami during a party and she instantly said yes.
Ram Kapoor started his career with shows like Heena, Sangharsh, Nyay and Kavita, but it was with Ghar Ek Mandir opposite Gautami that made him popular. Fans wanted to see them together in real life as well and their wish was fulfilled. The two tied the knot on Valentine’s Day (February 14) in 2003 and went on to have two children Sia and Aks.
RAM KAPOOR’S JOURNEYRam Kapoor was lucky enough to land a role in filmmaker Sudhir Mishra’s TV show Nyay in his early career. Post that, Ekta Kapoor’s Ghar Ek Mandir was just the show he needed to establish him in the TV industry as a promising actor. He continued to pick his roles with care, leaving behind those serials that did not satisfy him as an actor.
Be it medical drama Dhadkan or his role of Jai Walia in Kasamh Se (opposite Prachi Desai), hosting reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamwar, Bade Achche Lagte Hai opposite Sakshi Tanwar or his recent foray in digital world with Alt Balaji’s Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat (again opposite Sakshi Tanwar), Ram Kapoor has made sure to do brilliant work in his career spanning two decades.
HOW HE GOT INTO ACTINGRam Kapoor who grew up watching world cinema, thanks to his family, first acted in a play Charlie’s Aunt in his student days, where he played the second lead on the insistence of Amir Raza Hussain, a theatre veteran. That was the start and he worked in many English plays after that. The actor later decided to study Method acting in Stanislovsky School of Method Acting in US as he was a fan of Method actors like Marlon Brando, Robert Di Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino.
