A couple that eats together, stays together. And Deepika Padukone just proved it.Â
The Padmaavat actor took to Instagram to share a short comic strip that basically defines the very essence of her relationship with husband Ranveer Singh.
The comic strip shows a man and a woman sitting down for a meal. While the man is content after finishing his meal, the woman is seen struggling with the sheer quantity of food in front of her. I can’t finish the rest, reads her speech bubble.
Now, we’ve all been at this point some time or the other in our lives. And having someone you can swiftly push your half-eaten meal towards, knowing they will be able to lick the plate clean, definitely helps. Guess who that guy is in Deepika’s life?
Obviously, Ranveer Singh. No, we were not giving out brownie points for that guess, anyway.
Deepika wrote, that’s us… @ranveersingh as she shared the photo on Instagram. Hubby Ranveer Singh immediately quipped, Hahahahahaha! BASICCC And the Internet cannot keep calm at DeepVeer’s adorable PDA.
Deepika and Ranveer have never shied away from posting sweet nothing about one another on social media. And their comments on each other’s posts are a totally different story. Recently the two had the Internet in splits over a free speaker.

In one of Ranveer’s latest promotional posts for an audio equipment manufacturing company, the 83 actor is seen sprawled on the floor surrounded by speakers around him. But more than the speakers in questions, wife Deepika’s comment grabbed all the attention. “Get some for the home na? kuch paise bach jayenge!!! (sic)” commented Dippy.
Netizens could not contain themselves after Dippy’s comment and pointed out that she has become a typical Sindhi bahu after marrying Ranveer Singh.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot in November 2019 in Lake Como, and since then, the duo has been giving us all sorts of couple goals. And it all started with Ranveer’s unconventional choice of moving into Deepika’s home after marriage. In an exclusive interview with India Today magazine, Ranveer even revealed his reasons, “I’ve grown up seeing a marriage where the attitude is to make it work regardless of anything. A marriage is a commitment, out is not an option. So whatever you have to work through, you do. The most sensible and convenient thing was for me to move into her set-up. She is comfortable there and I don’t want to displace her. I always try to give her priority.”
On the work front, Deepika and Ranveer will be seen next in 83, a film based on India’s historic World Cup victory of 1983, at Lord’s, England, against the crowd favourites, West Indies. Ranveer will be seen as captain Kapil Dev, while Deepika will essay the role of Romi Dev, his wife.
