Actor Kareena Kapoor turned 39 this year and rang in her birthday at husband Saif Ali Khan’s ancestral house, The Pataudi Palace.Â
Kareena and Saif who flew to Delhi along with son Taimur for her birthday celebrations were also joined by Karisma Kapoor and her kids Samaira and Kiaan.Â
Karisma has shared glimpses of Kareena’s midnight cake-cutting ceremony on Instagram. She wrote, “Happy birthday my darling bebo ! We love you. Direction by @gauravvkchawla @diljitdosanjh #happybirthdaybebo #pataudidiaries.”Â

Kareena and Saif can be seen twinning in white kurta-pyjama in the video. As Kareena cuts the cake, Saif and Karisma can be seen clapping in the background. A special picture shared by Karisma shows Kareena and Saif sharing a kiss in front of the party setup with ‘Happy Birthday’ balloons dangling behind them.
Karisma also posted a picture of Kareena holding a large champagne glass, a closeup of her special birthday cake and a picture of the poolside at the Pataudi Palace. Karisma’s daughter Samaira posted a funny selfie with her from their way to the palace on her Instagram stories.
Many of her industry friends wished her in the comments section. Designer Manish Malhotra wrote, “Happy birthday dearest Bebo.” Her cousin Riddhima Kapoor Sahni wrote, “Happiest bday Bebo.” Rhea Kapoor, who co-produced Kareena’s last film Veere Di Wedding, enquired, “Means it’s a music video.”
Its not clear if singer Diljit Dosanjh and Gauravv Chawla also joined the actor at the palace. However, Diljit also shared the same video on his Instagram account along with a birthday message, “HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEEN #Kareenakapoor Wish you Health & Happiness. KEEP ROCKING ….”
According to a report in Navbharat Times, Saif and Kareena had forgotten the way from the airport to the Pataudi Palace. While Saif asked a few locals for directions and had to pose for selfies, Kareena and Taimur sat in the car.Â
Things to know about Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan was born on Sept. 21, 1980 to actors Babita and Randhir Kapoor in Mumbai, India. Her elder sister Karisma and paternal side of the family have had actors for generations, including great-grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor, grandfather Raj Kapoor, uncles Rajiv, Rishi, Shashi and Shammi Kapoor. She is married to actor Saif Ali Khan and the couple have a son, Taimur.
She was named Siddhima by her grandfather Raj Kapoor initially. However, her mother changed her name to Kareena, which has been derived from Leo Tolstoy’s book “Anna Karenina.†Babita read the book during her pregnancy.
She was the first choice opposite Hrithik Roshan in “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.†She dropped out after shooting for the first few days. The film finally became a launchpad for Ameesha Patel.

Kareena and actress Amrita Arora have been best friends for years. She was Amrita’s bridesmaid at her wedding and the two played friends on screen in the movie “Kambakkht Ishq†(2009).

She joined Harvard to pursue a three-month course in information technology and microcomputers. Later, she joined the Government Law School in Mumbai, but dropped out in a year and then enrolled in an acting school.
Kareena enjoys only home cooked food. She told PTI, “I eat only simple Indian home food – sabzi, roti, dal, chawal, ghee. There are so many benefits of having ghee.â€
Kareena started dating Shahid Kapoor while shooting for “Fida†(2004), and their relationship lasted almost five years. They broke up while filming “Jab We Met†(2007). “We were dating within the first week of meeting each other…so you can say that, yes, we hit it off the moment we met,†Shahid told Cosmopolitan in a 2005 interview.
Kareena has co-written the book “The Style Diary of a Bollywood Diva†along with Rochelle Pinto.
She was voted Asia’s Sexiest Woman by Eastern Eye in 2011 and was titled the Hottest Woman in the World in 2012 by Maxim.
