Milan Fashion Week: Jennifer Lopez, Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid at the Versace show

Jennifer Lopez and Donatella Versace

A little over an hour ago in Milan, the show of Versace ended. The main event of the defile was definitely the appearance in the final Jennifer Lopez in the (almost) same dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards. Well, before her, Bella and Gigi Hadid came on the podium, Irina Shayk, Kendall Jenner, Stella Maxwell, Kaya Gerber and others, and among the guests were Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Dautzen Croesus. So, we talk about everything in order.

Donatella Versace has been repeatedly blamed for the fact that for decades she continues to exploit the legacy of her famous brother and brand founder Gianni Versace, reworking the cult images he created.

Well, now Donatella has taken up her personal archives. The main theme in the collection was the famous Jungle print, which went down in history thanks to the dress in which Jennifer Lopez appeared at the Grammy ceremony in 2000.

Then the release of the celebrity shocked not only fashion experts, but also practically made a technological revolution. People were so desperately looking for the singer’s photos that on Google, watching this uniform hysteria, they came up with a search for pictures.

Donatella Versace beat the momentous moment not only on the podium, reviving the famous print (in the collection not only a new version of the dress itself, but also jackets, shorts, coats and, of course, new dresses), but also by inviting in the form of a multi-page book with the image of the search engine Google pages: when quickly browsing, the illusion was created that you enter a search query on the collection.

The riot of prints was balanced by strict and restrained (although, it seems, these characteristics are hardly applicable to Versace) dresses-jackets, youth neon and denim.

Revived Versace on the catwalk and another classic model of a dress with a pointed neckline (this vintage this year put on Kim Kardashian) Amber Valletta, the model closest to the original, presentedthe same the dress and its distant copy in the previous collection, by the way, were also represented by her and such a memorable show, of course, could not do without the star of the fashion world of the 90s).
