Mark Zakharov, artistic director of the Lenkom Theater, died at the age of 86. The sad news to the TASS agency has already been confirmed by theater director Mark Warsawer.
Mark Anatolyevich Zakharov died today after a long illness. The last of the Mohicans died Said Warsawer.
Mark Zakharov was born on October 13, 1933 in Moscow. In 1955 he graduated from the acting faculty of GITIS (course of I. M. Raevsky). By distribution, he was sent to the Perm Drama Theater. Collaborated with the theater team of Perm University. It was here that he made his directorial debut.
In 1965, the young director came to work in the Satire Theater, where in 1967 he staged his famous play "Profitable Place", which was a huge success with the audience, but was played only about 40 times and was banned. In 1973, he was appointed artistic director of the Moscow Theater. Lenin Komsomol (since 1990 – the Lenkom Theater).
Many directorial works of Zakharov went down in the history of theatrical art. So, the legendary performance â€œJuno and Avosâ€ has been played more than 1,600 times to date. Mark Anatolyevich made a significant contribution to domestic cinema, making films that have become classics and loved by millions of viewers: "Twelve Chairs", "Ordinary Miracle", "The Same Munchausen", "The House that Swift Built," "Formula of Love", " Kill the dragon. "
In late August, Zakharov was hospitalized with pneumonia in a Botkin hospital, but on September 9 he was discharged.
Mark Zakharov will be buried on October 1 at the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow near the graves of Stanislav Govorukhin, Oleg Tabakov and Leonid Bronevoy – Mark Warsawer told reporters about this.
Farewell to the director will take place on the main stage of Lenkom on October 1 at 10 a.m.
