Yesterday, 54-year-old Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced that the Government of the Russian Federation in full force resigns. This decision was made after the message of the President of the country Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly. In it, Putin made a proposal to amend the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Yesterday, Putin met with Medvedev and signed a decree "On the resignation of the government," and also thanked the ministers for the work done.

A few hours later he spent a working day meeting with the head of the Federal Tax Service, Mikhail Mishustin, and proposed his candidacy for the post of prime minister. He agreed, and the head of state introduced his candidacy for consideration by the State Duma.
Today, the State Duma approved Mikhail Mishustin as Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. Representatives of the parties "United Russia", LDPR and "Fair Russia" cast their votes for him. Deputies from the Communist Party abstained.
Since 2010, Mikhail Mishustin has been the head of the Federal Tax Service. He is a systems engineer by training. In his speech today, he outlined the main tasks of the cabinet of ministers, which he will now head. He said that in the first place he will have care for families and children, improving the quality of management, the welfare of citizens, the situation in entrepreneurship, as well as other tasks.
