The woman believed to be the “real” Rosie the Riveter has died at the age of 96, according to her daughter-in-law. Naomi Parker Fraley was a factory worker at Alameda Naval Station during World War II when a press photographer took the picture that inspired the iconic poster. But it was 60 years before Fraley realized her role in the creation of Rosie – until 2015, the photo was credited as being of another woman. (📷: J. Howard Miller)
