CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cavaliers/Warriors rivalry that spanned four consecutive NBA Finals is long over. At least it feels long over.

LeBron has moved on to LaLa Land to grow his media empire and perhaps his championship ring collection. Both the Cleveland and Golden State franchises that waged some intense Finals clashes are a shell of what they were.

Despite the losses absorbed by both teams this season, Cavs and Warriors fans have stories and memories they can hold tight from June battles from 2015 to 2018. So, before the Cavs meet the Warriors at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse Saturday night, let’s take a look back at some of our favorite photos from those memorable series.

We’ll start with 2015, a season and team that looked like it could bring the city its first trophy. But injuries in the playoffs to two of its star players tipped the scales in favor of the Warriors.

The 2016 Finals did not start how the Cavs had hoped. They returned from Oakland with a 0-2 deficit against the defending champion Warriors. But game 3 in Cleveland proved just how much grit the Cavs had, blowing the Warriors out by 30 points.

But the Warriors came back in Game 4 with a solid game plan, beating the Cavs to take a 3-1 lead. This set up the greatest upset/comeback in NBA history.

2017 brought an intensified rivalry. The teams each had one title. The Warriors greatly strengthened their roster, bringing Kevin Durant on board after his Oklahoma City team failed in the 2016 Western Conference Finals. His addition to the Warriors’ roster proved too much for the Cavs.
