New Delhi / Dispur Monsoon heavy rainfall is continuing in the North-East region of the country. Due to landslides and floods, 7 people died in the area on Friday. 4.23 lakh people are affected due to the flood in Brahmaputra in Assam.
Floods in 17 districts of Assam, 3 killed
There is a flood in 17 districts including Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Viswanath, Jorhat, Darang, Barpeta, Nalbari, Mazowali, Chirang, Dibrugarh and Golaghat in Assam. Three people died in flood-related incidents in Golaghat. Due to heavy rains and floods, the railway services in Lumding-Badarpur hill areas have been affected.
The worst effect is on Barpeta. Here are 85 thousand people affected by the flood. Apart from this 800 villages and 41 revenues have been submerged in the flood. Camps have been arranged to provide relief to the people. Kaziranga Park has also been affected by the flood.
14 people died in 10 days in UP
Heavy rains in eastern and western areas of Uttar Pradesh revealed problems of water logging in several districts. In the last 10 days, 14 people died in rain related accidents. Water levels in many rivers have reached the danger mark.
15-16 July Chance of Rain – Meteorological Department
It is not raining in Delhi. The temperature rose to 38.3 degrees on Friday. The Meteorological Department says there is a possibility of rain till 15-16 July. Rainfall took place on Friday in most parts of Punjab and Haryana. Because of this, the daytime temperature was recorded less than usual. There was also rain for the second consecutive day in Chandigarh.
