Kids in care at the University of Vermont Medical Center Children’s Hospital were treated to a heartwarming surprise Wednesday afternoon. Musical artist Stephanie Quayle visited the pediatric center to perform her feel-good brand of acoustic country. “This is such a gift for me, and I just want to give more to them,” Quayle said. The Nashville artist was invited by WOKO-FM, a radio station with a long-standing charitable partnership with the Children’s Hospital. “When she sings these songs, like the song ‘Evel Kenevel’ that she sang for the kids, it’s about being brave, you could really feel it and I think those kids could feel it to,”said WOKO morning show host Bill Sargent. Quayle performed several songs and signed cowboy hats and bandanas. “All the different things that come with this job, it’s things like this that remind you why music is so important,” Quayle said.
