India to spend Rs 500 crore on Kartarpur Corridor, project to be completed by October 31

India wants to complete the entire project by October 31 this year. India will spend 500 crores for the construction of Kartarpur Corridor. With this, India will use the high-tech surveillance system and a strong security system will be used. This corridor will connect Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur in Pakistan to Dera Baba Nanak Gurudwara located in Gurdaspur district and facilitate visa-free movement of Indian Sikh pilgrims.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that the Art Passenger Terminal and the four-lane highway connecting the Zero Point of Kartarpur corridor to the National Highway will be completed on time. The second high-level meeting from Pakistan on the Wagah border will be held on 14th July. He said that the desire for dialogue is basically based on the fact that whatever differences there are about it, it should be discussed with Pakistan.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that India wants Pakistan to build a bridge in the Creek area. At the same time Pakistan says that it will only build a paved road. This area is flood prone and if the bridge is not built on their side then it can increase the risk of flood on the Indian side as a slope. Pakistan has only agreed to make a paved road. At the same time, there has been no negotiation between India and Pakistan on the travel modalities. There will be a meeting between India and Pakistan officials on July 14. This will be discussed during this time.
