new Delhi: Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday targeted the Congress for the Rae Bareli Modern Coach Factory and said that till 2014 when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, the factory did not create any single coach.

Goyal was demanding grants for his ministry in the Lok Sabha. During this time, he said that the Rae Bareli factory had made its first coach in 2014, while the project was approved in 2007-08.

Goyal said, "There was no single coach till the Modi government came to power in 2014. Employees were not appointed and the tenders were not opened. When Modi came to power, he directed us to appoint employees and make coaches. After this the first coach was produced in the factory. '

The Minister said that the production of the coach continued to grow every year and in 20107-18, a total of 711 coaches were made, whereas the unit's annual coach production capacity was 1,000.

He said, "New engineers were contacted and new technology was adopted to increase production. After this, a total of 1,425 coaches were created in 2018-19.

The Minister said that many impossible works have been made possible in the railway development process. He said that the aim of the government is to become the world's largest factory by making the factory capable of making 5,000 coaches.

He said, 'This is the government's thinking. If our dream is completed, then the rail coach built in India will reach the whole world. This will increase trade and employment. '
