Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday commented on some Congress leaders joining the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Friday that the Communist Party of India (CPM) has been saying since the beginning that the Congress should not be trusted. And this incident is proof of this.
Vijayan said in the meeting of the Left-backed PSC Association here, "Congress party is behaving like it is a BJP supplying agency. People of Congress can not be trusted. We are already saying this, but nobody has believed us. Now see what is happening. '
Vijayan said, 'It is happening everywhere and the situation has become such that the people of Congress are running such a part of the BJP.' The Kerala Chief Minister reminded the Congress that the Congress party had won 15 seats in the recent Lok Sabha elections in the state.
'The public has been penitating on its decision'
He further said, "After seeing all this happening, the public has been penitating on its decision. The Congress has no leadership, and it is a sad situation. " The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) won 19 of the 20 seats of Kerala in the Lok Sabha elections.
CPM-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) slipped from eight to one seat.
