new Delhi. Sachin Tendulkar announced his World Cup team on Tuesday, but replacing Mahendra Singh Dhoni as wicket-keeper to English player Johnny Bairstow. Among the Indian players Virat Kohli, the vice-captain and tournament's top scorer Rohit Sharma, fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja have been included. Rohit Sharma scored the highest score in his World Cup, while Jadeja was given the place due to his best performance in two matches.

Tendulkar has included New Zealand captain Ken Williamson who becomes Player of the Tournament. Sachin made him captain of his team. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was also given the place. He took 17 wickets in the entire tournament and scored more than 600 runs. Ben Stokes of England, who was the star of the World Cup finals, was named as an allrounder in addition to Pandya. Apart from Australian pacer Mitchell Starc taking 27 wickets, England's Joefra Archer and Bumrahah were also given the place. Butler was replaced by wicketkeeper in place of Butyster in the English team, but Tendulkar replaced Bairstow as wicketkeeper in place of veteran Dhoni.
