The Hague. Indian Court of Justice will pronounce judgment on Wednesday in the case of Indian citizen Kulbhushan Jadhav. Pakistan has given Jadhav the death sentence. Jadhav is a Retired Indian Navy Officer. He was sentenced to death in April 2017 on charges of espionage and terrorism by Pakistan's military court.

India challenges India's trial against Jadhav

  1. India raised this issue in front of ICJ in May 2017. Jadhav accused Pakistan of not providing counselor on Pakistan. India also challenged the Pakistani Army's trial against Jadhav (48). The ICJ has banned any kind of action on May 18, 2017, till a decision has been taken against Jadhav on Pakistan.

India said – Jadhav's death sentence should be canceled. Order them to be released immediately. The judgment pronounced by the Pakistani army is absolutely ridiculous. They are not able to display the minimal values of the process.

  5. India said – Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran

Although India has persisted on its plea. According to him, Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran. Jadhav was trying to do business after retiring from the Navy there. After Jadhav was sentenced to death, he got a sharp reaction in India.

  6. Pakistan rejected India's petition before the ICJ. In this, India had sought counselor access for Jadhav. Pak claimed that India wants to get information from its spy.
