District Administration on Backfoot
Priyanka Gandhi and Congress activists have started demonstration outside the Chanar guest house in Mirzapur on Saturday morning. 15 victims did not get to meet families

What is the case
On 17th July, firing took place in Mavritya village of Sonbhadra's Ghoraval police station area. It is being told that this bloody orchard for 100 acres of land was purchased by Gram Pradhan Yagna Dutt from an IAS officer, but the villagers were not ready to leave the land. They said that they have been working on it for a long time. It is alleged that on Wednesday afternoon, people of village Pradhan Yagna Dutt came to fill in 15 to 20 tractors and attacked the villagers. He snatched the gun and frozen with the powerful bullets. In this bloody struggle, 10 people lost their lives and many were injured.
27 accused including village head arrested
In this case, the police has arrested 27 people, including the main accused Gram Pradhan Yajnadatta Bhortiya, so far. Police have recovered five licensed guns from the murderers, and six tractors have also been taken into custody. Five teams have been dispatched for the arrest of the other accused. If the police believed that 28 people were registered in this massacre and an FIR against 50 unknown accused was registered.
