new Delhi. The funeral of former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit (81) will be on Sunday at 2.30 pm on the Adhod Bhad Ghat. Earlier, his body will be kept for the final visit to the Congress headquarters. Dikshit passed away on Saturday afternoon with a cordial arrest in the capital's Fortis Escorts Hospital. He was chief minister of Delhi for 15 years. Prior to the Lok Sabha elections, Congress had given him the charge of Delhi on January 10.
The body of Dixit was kept for the last visit to the residence of the former Nizamuddin on Saturday. Several leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former President Pranab Mukherjee, former Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj paid tribute to them. On the other hand, the Kejriwal government has announced a two-day state mourning in Delhi.
