  1. media is using this accident as a power card to go after truck driver witch if you do your research on the media that's covering the accident you see that there own by big corps that are not pro truck drivers. if it was any other accident with out tracy morgan this wouldnt be going on it just be one more accident out here on the road.

  2. Tracy, get well soon. The way I see it, Walmart should be held responsible and if the driver violated the rules then yes, he is accountable for this accident. Whatever Tracy decides to do will turn out to be for the best. As far as suing Walmart, I would. Losing your friend is bad enough. Ii believe this will send a message to the trucking industry and to the government on enforcing D.O.T rules and regulations.

  3. Unfortunately the truck driver is doomed in this case. No way on earth you can justify a rear end collision. I don't agree with the public persecution against the driver. If someone famous was not in the vehicle it would just be another accident on the local news. Sad but true, accept it. As an industry, we as drivers and companies need to educate the general public on sharing the road with big rigs. The New Jersey Turnpike is no picnic road to drive on, but is unfortunately the quickest route to NYC and the New England states. Warmest regards to all injured parties for a speedy recovery.

  4. It all comes down to THE OPERATOR. That's what they are going to look at in the end. You operate a vehicle drunk you suffer the consequence, you operate a vehicle sleepy you suffer the consequence. THE OPERATOR

  5. BigCat shout out to you for all the good work.  I personality will wait until all the evidence is in about the accident I have seen the media (not you) present the case in a sensational way and not have all sides of the story.  My praters go out to all the LORDS children and especially all the people in the accident and their family.  Keep up the great work.

  6. Bigcat I believe the media got to involved with this case and now people that don't know anything about trucking are convinced Wal-Mart had this driver up for 24 hours. There is too much media coverage before all the facts are produced. We know it was at night but didn't hear if it was raining foggy etc. So I will hold my judgment in this matter until all the facts are produced. I don't think there would be as much media coverage if there wasn't a celebrity involved.

  8. I think the media needs to under stand wal-mart has e log driving 24 hours is impossible. I give best of luck to Tracy Morgan and the driver. But also I believe if this accident happened with a different person other than Tracy Morgan just some normal person this accident would have not been such a big deal. But this is sad what happened puts a bad name for truckers out there once again.

  9. The driver is responsible. We get a break for a reason. He should have took full responsibility, but he should of let his logs speak for him.
This stuff happens everyday. But the media run with it because of who it was. U

  10. I got all pissed when the media kept saying he was driving for 24 hours straight. Walmart is on e-logs which is why walmart says he was driving within fed regulations. Why the driver didn't rest on his break, I don't know. But it goes to show not even the new
Mandated change in a mandatory break prevented this accident.

  11. I think its time we all stop speculating and wait for the facts to come out. We tend to assign blame before anyone knows anything factual about the situation. We now live in the era of the 24 hour news cycle and networks are so eager to be the first to report ews that they fail to verify if the story is true. If you know the industry you would bet your next paycheck that a Walmart driver would be well within the federal HOS regulations while behind the wheel so why all the wild speculation amongst drivers that this guy was anything but innocent until the facts show otherwise.

  12. until I see proof that this driver had been fatigue I am on his side. If you really hadn't slept in 24 hours he's an idiot but I have not seen any proof that you have not slept. I am also a driver and this looks like and attempt to impose more regulation

  13. They said the driver had not slept for 24 hours. If this is true then it is this drivers fault. I don't care what job I have or how much money I am making I will not drive when it is not safe because this is my lively hood. I will not break the rules for any company and take that chance to ruin the way I make my money and pay my bills. Accidents do happen but these Super truckers are the reason why we have so many regulations now. If it is true this driver knew that it was not safe for him to be driving with no sleep in the past 24 hours. But we don't really know the entire story I wish Tracy Morgan and the walmart drivers the best in recovery and the family of the one who lost his life I am deeply sorry and will keep them in my prayers!

  14. @BigCatTrucking I'm only 14 and my dad is a truck driver and I know what he goes through and all ya'll other truckers out there go through on a daily basis… the paper says something about that " innocent in till proven guilty" is that right?? but the Wal-Mart driver is already in jail… my dad thinks that is absolutely B.S…. Tracy Morgan I hope you feel better soon… p.s. they haven't said anything about maybe the driver of Tracy Morgan's bus or limo driver falling asleep have they?? @BigCatTrucking be safe out there…
