India's second moon mission is Chandrayaan-2
Chandrayaan-2 is the second moon mission in India and the first mission was launched in Chandrayaan in 2008. After repairing a technical flaw on July 15, ISRO launched Chandrayaan-2 on Monday. The purpose of Chandrayaan 2 is to study water ice and other complex substances present on the poles located near the Moon. According to National Geographic, this research will allow scientists to know more about Moon and Solar systems.
After the launch of Chandrayaan-2, NASA also congratulated ISRO on tweeting. NASA wrote, "Congratulations to ISRO on the launch of Mission Chandrayaan-2 for study on the moon. We are very proud to support this mission. You have used our Deep Space Network in this mission and we are now looking forward to receiving information about Chand's South Pole. " NASA has informed that after some years, it will send its astronauts to the South Pole.
