new Delhi. Russia has informed Indian officials that he has been unable to find any documents related to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in his archives. Minister of State for External Affairs V Murlidhan said this in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Replying to the written reply in the Lok Sabha, said that Russia has not received any documents related to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He said that the Russian government has conveyed to India that there is no document related to Subhash Chandra Bose in his archives. Even after additional investigation on request made by India, they have not been able to find the information.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was in Russia until at least 1968 when he met Nikhil Chattopadhyay, son of revolutionary Virendranath Chattopadhyaya in Omsk. It is mentioned in the affirmation issued by the PM in the year 2016. In 2000, filed with the Mukherjee Commission, in affidavit, Nikhil Chattopadhyay said that Bose was hidden in Russia because he felt that he could be sued as a war criminal in India.
