Group includes representatives of Apple, Google, Asocham, IIT
The government has set up a working group to increase the placement, which will reinvent computer science, mechanical, electrical, electronic, chemical and civil engineering courses. This group includes representatives of Apple, Google, Ascache, Nasscom, IIT. The first meeting of the Working Group will be held on 5th August. The group has given a month's time to give a first report on the possibility of redesigning other engineering courses, including parallel courses.
52 per cent reaching placements in 2018-19
According to a senior government official, the All India Technical Council and IIT had designed the course on the basis of market demand, including courses, training to enhance employment in engineering. As a result, the campus placement in the 2018-19 session had increased by seven per cent to 52 per cent from the previous session. In spite of this, it has been unfortunate. They are being redesigned to enhance job opportunities for young people in traditional courses.
Modern technology will be added
With the redesign of the traditional course, core areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet, Climb Computing, Embedded SW, Data Analyst, Robotic Science, Marketing and Mobility will also be added. Modern technology will be included instead of ordinary engineering. Let me tell you, the committee of the IIT had recommended to shift the course of the second course to the second course in 2017 by eliminating the non-conventional employment provided to the Central Government.
