Speer, Ill. (WEEK) – Even though the Summer heat is holding on strong, your trip for apple cider could be soon!
Tanners Orchard in Speer, Illinois is officially open for their 72nd season on Monday, July 29th.
The family destination started in 1947 and features more than 11,000 trees and 20 acre pumpkin patch, among many other things.
And luckily for Tanners, the Spring rain isn’t hurting their produce.
“No, the weather didn’t affect the apples at all. It might have pushed us back maybe a few days or something for the planting of some of the crops but we’re lucky we got in when we could,†said Co-owner Jennifer Beaver.
All the family favorites are back like the corn maze and petting zoo.
Don’t forget about the apple cider slushies and apple cider donuts!
What’s new this year is more seating and space in the bakery, plus a Tanners Orchard cookbook for sale.
