Okay this is one thing I am scared about if I ever join cuz like it's scary just being gased like can you breath that good cuz like I had a hole in my heart when I was a baby will that effect me?
Back in the 70's when we did this at Ft Jackson there were 3 squads of 10. One squad at a time would remove their mask. If you dropped your mask they would kick it across the room and you would have to go get it AFTER your squad mates had left the building. The tear gas was much heavier then. Being in the infantry at my permanent duty stations, I was gassed all the time during exercises. Just something you got used to.
Me and my friend watched this and said “OMG are they going to like die from the gas?!†I was like “no that gas will just make them cry and their nose runâ€
i read in book “American Terrorist†that Tim McVeigh during his time in the Army. He said people were crying aloud and even vomiting. He said “the best way to make it thru is to not panic†i’m just asking if this was true or not? because i wanna go to the army when i get older. ☺ï¸
Oh my god
i probably shouldn’t have laughed at this, but i’m going to end up doing the same thing so rip to my lungs
Kid at school: scrapes his knee

Drink plenty of milk for breakfast before you get their, helps your body become more immune to the gas

I was considering joining the army but I changed my mind.
l can't believe that l'm laughing at this. l did it in 88 and l swore that l was dying. Worst day of basic training. l ran up out of there.

Who else was holding their breath during the mask take off?
I rather not die during training

Talked to an Army recruiter today. Will be joining soon but I am SUPER afraid to do this! I don’t want to choke ????
Oh, i remember…
Is there any other reason than endurance that this should be practiced?
You can tell some recruits didn't do a proper seal check.
Is it weird that I can’t wait for this.
Do they run out with there eyes closed or open?
