WALKER COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) â€” A 14-year-old boy is in the hospital after being hit by a Walker County deputyâ€™s patrol vehicle Friday evening.
On August 2, 2019, at the request of Jasper City Police Department, Alabama State Troopers responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident in the Jasper City limits.
The accident happened at 10:51 p.m. on AL 69 south at the intersection of Old Tuscaloosa Road in Jasper, Ala., police report. The accident involved a Walker County Sheriffâ€™s Deputy and an ATV driven by a 14-year-old boy.
The 14 year old was seriously injured and transported from the scene to Childrenâ€™s Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. The Sheriffâ€™s Deputy was transported to Walker Baptist Medical Center.
At this time, nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
