Balasore India successfully tested the All-Weather and All-Terrain Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QRSM) test range in Chandipur, Odisha on Sunday. The state-of-the-art missile has been developed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for the army. DRDO sources said this second trial of QRSM was done from a truck-based launch unit at 11.05 in the morning.
According to sources, the All-Weather and All-Terrain missile can be mounted on a truck. At the same time, it is equipped with electronic counter system, which enables it to attack despite being a radar jammer. Sources said that QRSM uses solid fuel and its firepower is 25 to 30 km.
QRSM's first test was in 2017
QRSM's first test was on June 4, 2017. Subsequently on 26th February, 2019 successfully two rounds of trials were successful on the same day. Two missiles were tested by various elevations and conditions.
