School closed till August 5 in Nashik Pune
Continuous heavy rains are continuing with the entire Konkan region, including Mumbai, late on Friday night. This has affected the road and rail traffic in the metropolis badly. Three people, including two students, died due to heavy rains and two girl students are still missing. On the other hand, Pune District Collector Naval Kishore Ram informed that all schools and colleges will be closed on August 5, due to constant rain in Pune. After flood situation in Pune city, Pune Municipal Corporation has provided more than 500 families to safer places.
Water left at 6 o'clock today from Khadakvasla dam
District Information Office, Pune informed that 45474 cusecs of water will be released from the Khadakvasala Dam at Mutha river at 6 pm today. After leaving the water from the dam, the situation in the lower areas is likely to worsen. The administration has removed local residents from the lower areas. In Navi Mumbai, three rescue teams in the Thane district are in touch with the state administration and are deployed for assistance. Two groups of 120 jawans are also involved in Thane district.

On the other hand, rescue and rescue operations are being carried out by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team in flood affected Kanhe village of Raigarh in Maharashtra and people are being taken to safer places. According to the Meteorological Department, for the next few days, rains will continue with strong winds in many areas including Mumbai. BMC has advised people not to go to the sea shore while estimating high tide Sunday afternoon. After this, there is a possibility of rains in Konkan and surrounding areas of central Maharashtra during the next two days.

Water in many areas including Dahisar, Goregaon, Malad, Andheri, Ghatkopar, Kurla, Bandra, Khar, Mulund, Chembur, Thakur Village, King Circle, Hindmata, Santa Cruz, Sion, LBS Marg, Oberoi Junction, Milan Sub-Way, Sakinaka Gaya. On the other hand, the way to Mahabaleshwar from Pune was closed due to landslides. The contact with 56 villages has been broken by the main city.
