new Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting with the cabinet on his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg on Monday morning. In general, the Cabinet meeting is on Wednesday. Prior to the meeting, Prime Minister Modi discussed Amit Shah and Ajit Doval. According to sources, the government can take a big decision on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Today the meeting of the Security Committee (CCS) and the Parliamentary Committee (CCPA) will also be held.
Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah had reviewed the security situation and current situation in Jammu and Kashmir with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and other senior officials on Sunday. On the other hand, there were leaders of Mehbooba Mufti and local parties gathering at Farooq Abdullah's house in Srinagar. They opposed the central government's action. Home Minister Shah can go to Kashmir for 3 days (from 8th to 10th August).
Supreme Court will discuss the bill to increase the number of judges
In addition, there is a possibility to discuss the bill to increase the number of judges in the Supreme Court in a Cabinet meeting on the Prime Minister's house. After the amendment, the government will present this bill in the Lok Sabha in the current session.
Mobile Internet Ban, Leader Detained
Between the circumstances of the tension in Jammu and Kashmir, three former chief ministers Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti were detained at Srinagar at 12 pm on Sunday night. Police said that Section-144 has been implemented in many areas which have become sensitive since the security perspective. The administration has also banned rallies in the state. Also the mobile internet has been discontinued. All schools and colleges will be closed from Monday to the state.
