Srinagar. Army has foiled a major infiltration attempt in Machhal Sector based on LoC in Jammu and Kashmir. On behalf of the army it has been told that on Tuesday, around 5 to 6 terrorists were trying to enter the Indian border. A soldier's army has been injured in firing from both sides. The injured jawan has been taken out and his treatment is ongoing. The army has said that the terrorists had filed for around 500 meters of the Indian border.

Continuous firing in Rajouri

On the other side, firing from Sundarbani sector of Rajouri was also fired by the Pakistan army. On behalf of the army it has been told that firing from small arms and mortars was fired and the ceasefire broke out by the Pakistan army. According to information given by the army, firing started at 12:45 pm from Pakistan. The Army responded by its verdict. Firing could be stopped at around 2:30 pm.

Army high alert on LoC

Since the article 370 has been removed from Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, the army is continuously on high alert on the LoC. Officials have been told that the soldiers are fully prepared to respond to any kind of misery from Pakistan. Top Army commanders are constantly monitoring the situation in the state. The situation here is likely to be tense after the Center's decision and the Army is fully prepared to deal with any incident. Sources have said that Pakistan can now try to spread unrest in the Kashmir Valley. There can be violence in the valley, the possibility of IED blast and suicide attack can not be ruled out. On behalf of a senior officer it has been said that the security forces are fully prepared to face any sort of situation and to deal with it.
