new Delhi: Former India captain Rahul Dravid was appointed as BCCI Ethics Officer D.K. Jain has sent a notice seeking clarification on the issue of conflict of interest. Justice (retd) DK Jain (DK Jain) has taken this decision after a complaint made by Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) member Sanjeev Gupta. MPCA's Ajivan member Gupta has also previously held Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS. Laxman had also complained of a conflict of interest.
A senior BCCI official has confirmed this and said that Gupta has stated in his complaint that Dravid has recently been appointed Director of the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He is also the Vice President of India Cements and the company also owns the IPL team Chennai Super Kings.
The officer said, "Yes, Jain has been sent a notice to Dravid last week and asked for a reply within two weeks." But there are also reports that Dravid and India Cements ended the agreement after the former captain became the NCA chief. The decision was taken by consensus.
