Wagner welcomed with protests and goes to Porto Seguro
After being booed in Eunápolis, on May 12th, in Teixeira de Freitas, last Thursday, the 30th, Governor Jaques Wagner begins June by being booed in Porto Seguro by hundreds of students and teachers.
PORTO SEGURO – The official visit by Governor Jaques Wagner and Vice Otto Alencar to inaugurate the refurbishment and expansion of Porto Seguro airport and a health center in the center on Tuesday, 5, was marked by protests and many boos, but Boo boo it.
A strong security scheme has been set up to prevent protesters, mostly teachers and students, from approaching the Petista governor.
According to Wagner, boos do not bother him, since he has been used to them since the time he was in opposition. "I'm going to other cities [and being booed], but I understand the indignation of the teachers, but I guarantee I did what I could to avoid this situation," said the governor.
Also hardened to hear boos, Mayor Gilberto Abade blamed the opposition for the failure of his government. "I was the best mayor in the history of this city," the mayor raved while booing.
According to a teacher at Model College, who asked for anonymity, Mrs Claudia did not come with the governor's entourage fearing to be booed either. "But when it came time to vote against the teachers, she attended the session and declared herself the enemy of education," said the protester.
