Samsung Galaxy Be aware 10 UFS 3.Zero efficiency surpasses OnePlus 7 Professional and Galaxy Fold


OnePlus 7 Pro was the first device to launch with UFS 3.0 storage. Although Samsung was the first one to announce Galaxy Fold with UFS 3.0 storage, but OnePlus was able to launch OnePlus 7 Pro earlier. Galaxy Note 10 also comes with UFS 3.0 storage where Samsung has also improved the File System.

According to a test conducted by Ice Universe, a Samsung insider on Twitter, Galaxy Note 10 offered superior UFS 3.0 performance than all its rivals. AndroBench was used to test sequential read and write, SQLite Insert, SQLite Update and Delete etc. There are a total of 7 parameters on which AndroBench tests the storage performance of a device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 did surprisingly well in all of the 7 parameters when compared to OnePlus 7 Pro and Galaxy Fold which also have UFS 3.0 storage. Note 10 managed to get 1577.14 MB/s sequential read speed while it is 1471.8 MB/s on OnePlus 7 Pro and around 1478.85 MB/s on Galaxy Fold. Note 10 has around 100 MB/s more read speeds than the other two.

Even in Sequential Write speeds, Note 10 managed to get 591.62 MB/s, OnePlus 7 Pro touched 401.73 MB/s with Galaxy Fold being the slowest one with only 383.62 MB/s. This has let many think that Samsung is using some new File System in Galaxy Note 10 which manages to withdraw full potential that UFS 3.0 has to offer. If this is the case, Samsung will update the Galaxy Fold with the same File System before launching it.

Although this might not translate to real-life performance in daily tasks that we do, you will notice a small improvement in loading heavy apps likes games.

Most of the other Android devices are currently using either UFS 2.0 or UFS 2.1 storage which is slower than UFS 3.0.
