Lucknow. In Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a truck collided with a tempo on Tuesday morning and overturned a van full of roadside passengers. 16 people died in the accident, while five were injured. The truck driver absconded after the accident. Expressing grief over the accident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed Collector Shahjahanpur to pay appropriate compensation to the victims' families.
Incident in the affair to save Tempo
According to eyewitnesses, a high speed empty truck was going on the Lucknow-Delhi highway at 10 am. Meanwhile, suddenly a tempo filled with passengers came from the front. The truck driver tried to apply the brakes, but hit the tempo and overturned another vehicle filled with passengers standing on the road.
