Seeing the ATM broken, the youth gave information to the police
The incident took place on Sonauli Road in Gorakhnath area of Gorakhpur. This road is also known as Nepal Road. ABI Bank has a branch on the east road of Gorakhnath Temple. This ATM is installed here. On Sunday afternoon, the young man who came to withdraw the rupee reported it at number 100 after seeing the ATM broken. After this Gorakhnath police reached the spot. After reaching the police, the bank manager and other employees also reached the spot.

It was discovered in the investigation that the last two transactions took place from the ATM around 12 pm on Sunday night. Once another five and immediately Rs 1500 were withdrawn. After this there was no withdrawal from the ATM. It is feared that the thieves have carried out the incident in the night itself, but its information was revealed on Sunday morning.

Before the incident, the thieves had put black paint on the CCTV camera outside and inside the ATM, due to which the theft incident has not been recorded. At the time of closing the bank on Friday, the ATM had Rs 11.20 lakh. After the final evacuation on Sunday night, Rs 7.43 lakh was left. Let me tell you, this incident of theft in SBI's ATM is not the first. About seven years ago, the thieves pulled out 10 lakh rupees by breaking the ATM of Punjab National Bank in Digvijay Nath degree college. This incident could not be uncovered till date. Five years ago, employees who poured money into SBI's ATM at Prashanth Tower were stolen, but they were caught.
