Zee Jaankari, British Parliament handed movement condemning Islamabad announcement declaring Gilgit-Baltistan as its frontier in 2017 | Zee Jaankari: Britain has crushed Pakistan in 2017 over the occupation of Gilgit-Baltistan

new Delhi : After the removal of Article 370 from India from Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan is now furious about the war. But in 2017, Pakistan has got a lot of rebuke from Britain in the matter of capturing Gilgit-Baltistan.

The UK Parliament passed a resolution in March 2017, passing a resolution against Pakistan declaring Galgit-Baltistan as its province. During this time, the British Parliament said that Gilgit-Baltistan is a legal and constitutional part of Jammu and Kashmir. It has been illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947.

The proposal against Pakistan was presented in the British Parliament by Conservative Party leader Bob Blackman on 23 March 2017. He said during this time that the declaration made by Pakistan was a sign of his having occupied the already disputed area. Bob Blackman, while presenting the proposal, also said that Gilgit-Baltistan is a legal and constitutional part of India's Jammu and Kashmir, which Pakistan has illegally occupied since 1947.

He also said that later it was also recorded that attempting to change the geography of that area is a violation of state subject ordinance. Bob Blackman also said that the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in this area is illegal. It is to intervene in the disputed area.

On the other hand, at that time, it was said by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China that China would move forward to work jointly with Pakistan for the construction of CPEC. This will benefit the people of China and Pakistan. CPEC is a $ 51.1 billion project under which Kashgar, located in China's Xinjiang province, is to be connected to Pakistan's Gwadar port. Whereas India has always considered Gilgit-Baltistan as its integral part.

The decision by the Modi government to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir on August 2019 was also supported by UK MP Bob Blackman. MP Blackman has written a letter to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. In this, he has supported India, saying that the Government of India has removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in a complete constitutional manner. He has also written in it that Jammu and Kashmir is an intrinsic part of India. This is also an internal matter of India.
