Bettiah A case of gang-rape of a girl has come to light in Champaran, Bihar. Police has registered a case against four people on the victim's complaint. Currently, the victim is hospitalized for treatment. It is being told that the girl with whom the incident happened, she was rescued from the girl's home (shelter home) in Muzaffarpur last year.
In her complaint, the victim told police that she was going to an acquaintance's house in the neighborhood on Friday night. During this time, four youths in the car forcibly seated him in the car. All the boys were covering their faces. He then raped her in a moving vehicle. They then took him to the Sunsan area near the canal and also committed excesses there. After this, the accused escaped leaving him there.

During the incident, the victim somehow identified the boys by drawing a mask from their faces. Police say the girl has been admitted to the hospital. Medical report is yet to come. Based on his statement, an FIR was registered against the four accused. Efforts are on to arrest the accused.
The excesses were revealed in the shelter home in 2018
Last year, a report by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences revealed excesses with girls at the girl child house in Muzaffarpur. The investigation was handed over to the CBI when a case of exploitation of about 34 girls came to light here. The state government rescued the girls and sent them to the shelter home and some to the home. This shelter home was run by Brijesh Thakur. On May 31 last year, an FIR was lodged against 11 people, including Thakur.
