  3. I don't understand all the haters commenting here. If you don't like arranged marriage, guess what? YOU CAN CHOOSE TO NOT DO IT. Its no more forced arranged marriages these days, it is you go on a few dates and decide if you want to marry or not. Its repulsive to see so many hate comments attacking this form of marriage just because you prefer other types. Its like these haters enjoy being judgmental self righteous ass-hat.

  5. so we can't really use the term "arranged marriage" like in the old days where the parents would be like, "This is the guy you will marry full stop"… I was allowed to date my husband before marriage and had the choice to say "NO" (even though my parents shortlisted him on the website).. But I fell in love with him, so it's still a LOVE marriage. In fact, these websites help broaden options and encourage a wider mixing of people around the globe.. which would otherwise be impossible.

  6. Having grown up in Canada, I used to dismiss these matri websites and the idea of "arranged" marriage as rubbish… But my outlook has changed. My father created my profile despite my reluctance, and I ended up finding my husband through a matri website. We're very happy. Thing is, you don't have to call it "Arranged Marriage".. It's an "arranged meeting".. Parents and websites, help you to meet initially. Where you take off after that, is all up to the couple.
