Bengaluru Reliance Jio, which was included in India's top telecom companies in just three years, has managed to maintain its dominance in the telecom industry once, crossing all the mess. It was believed that the number of subscribers of Reliance Jio would decline due to the IUC crisis.
After looking at the figures of the last three months, it would be found that the number of subscribers of Reliance Jio has not increased but a decline, that too of the total of 91 lakh subscribers. Yes, it is indeed a relief news for Reliance Infocomm and Reliance Industries owner Mukesh Ambani.
Telecom company Reliance Infocomm is said to have added over 91 lakh subscribers in the month of October alone, after which the total subscriber base of the company increased to 36.43 crore. This has been confirmed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India in its new data report.
Interestingly, this increased the number of customers of Reliance Jio when the company started charging IUC at the rate of 6 paise per minute. Reliance Jio blamed TRAI, announcing on October 9, that its customers had told that it would charge users 6 paise per minute to call other networks.
Significantly, with the TRAI not nullifying the validity of the IUC, Reliance Infocomm started charging additional fees of 6 paise per minute from October 10 to its customers for calling on other networks. Reliance Infocomm also feared a drop in subscribers after the announcement of charging additional money from customers for calling on other networks.
Perhaps that's why he tried his best to compensate his customers through various packages. This is why Reliance Jio's customers stayed with Jio, which was taking advantage of free unlimited voice calls and data with cheaper tariffs for the last three years.

IUC validity could not be canceled due to Airtel-Vodafone lobbying
It is said that due to the lobbying of Airtel and Vodafone-Idea, the validity of the IUC could not be canceled while former TRAI Chairman RS Sarma proposed to reduce the validity of the IUC to the then three top companies only in 2014, but around three Till the year, the three companies kept pressing the case and charging arbitrary tariffs from their customers.
Companies were taking advantage of Jio's obligation on 4G network
5, September 2016, Reliance Jio started in the telecom industry, then the top three companies were closed down and users quickly joined Reliance Jio. But taking advantage of Reliance Jio's obligation on the 4G network, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea did not let the IUC's legitimacy by putting pressure on TRAI, causing the three companies to get 45000 crore rupees from Reliance Jio every year without providing any service. .
Jio's subscriber base added 91 million new subscribers in October
On the one hand, Reliance Jio's subscriber base added 91 lakh new customers in the month of October alone. At the same time, in the same month, Vodafone-Idea's subscriber base has registered an increase of just 1.9 lakhs, after which their subscriber base has increased to 37.27 crores. At the same time, Bharti Airtel has managed to add only 81,974 users in the same month, after which the subscriber base of Airtel has increased to 32.56 crores. The figures released by TRAI are till the end of October. Wireless telecom subscribers increased to 118.34 crore in October from 117.37 crore in September.
TRAI has extended IUC obligation till 1 January 2021
After looking at the data, it would not be wrong to say that Reliance Jio is outperforming other telecom companies even after the IUC obligation, while TRAI has extended the IUC obligation till 1 January 2021. However, it is believed that the number of subscribers of Reliance Jio is expected to decline in the coming month, as the customer may be reluctant to pay an additional fee of up to 6 paise per minute on other networks by 2021, as Airtel and Vodafone- Idea companies are not taking additional charges of IUC from their customers and customers are also free unlimited with plans on other networks E Voice giving call facility.
2G, 3G and 4G total 1,183.4 million subscribers
According to the statement issued by TRAI, the total wireless subscribers including 2G, 3G and 4G were 1173.75 million in September, which increased to 1,183.40 million in October. It has seen an increase of 0.82 percent. It also said that wireless subscriptions in urban areas were 659.18 million in September, which has increased to 662.92 million in October. At the same time, wireless subscriptions in rural areas stood at 514.56 million in September, which has increased to 520.48 million in October.
