Islamabad: Pakistan's new army chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane's statement of 'already striking the root of terror' has left Pakistan restless and in response has raised eyes on India. Moving away from talking on the basic issue of terrorism, Pakistan has termed the statement of the Indian military chief as "irresponsible" and said that it is capable of fully responding to any aggressive action. The Indian military chief had said on Tuesday that if Pakistan does not stop state sponsored terrorism, then we will already attack the root of the danger, the source of terrorism. This is our right. We have clearly shown our intentions in more than one surgical strike and Balakot operation.
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the statement of the Indian military chief is irresponsible and Pakistan rejects it.
"There should be no doubt about Pakistan's resolve and preparation that any aggressive action by India in our region or Azad Kashmir (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) will be fully responded to," the statement said. No one should forget Pakistan's reasonable answer to India's 'Balakot Dusadas'.
"Despite India's provocative actions in the region, Pakistan will continue to work for peace, security and stability in the region and elsewhere," the statement said.
The State Department statement said that Pakistan will continue to support the Kashmiris on moral, political and diplomatic levels.
