Bhatti said the mob threatened doctors and nurses. The glass and windows of our ambulance were broken. IMA said in a statement, there is a state of chaos in the country. Law and order is completely broken. If doctors and nurses are not safe in the country's capital, it means there is a lack of governance in the country. Bhatti said that while the doctors at AIIMS Trauma Center were busy treating the injured students from the campus, some goons managed to get inside the emergency unit of the trauma center.

Bhatti said, they were constantly staring at the patients while the doctors were treating them and making everyone uncomfortable. Bhatti said that all the injured have been discharged. Gurinder Grewal, a member of the core committee of Ethical Healthcare and former chairman of the Punjab Medical Council, said that such attacks on health workers are an uncontrolled violation of the Geneva Convention and a violation of basic human values.
