Richard Irwin, MD, FCCP, chair, critical care operations, recently delivered the keynote address at the CHEST 2018 American College of Chest Physicians annual meeting. Dr. Irwin’s address, “My Journey to Patient-Focused Care and Lessons Learned Along the Way,” focused on the evolution of patient-focused care and explored the definition of patient-focused care through both academic and personal lenses. Dr. Irwin’s address, which you can see in the video, earned him a standing ovation. Dr. Irwin is also the editor-in-chief of the CHEST journal.
