new Delhi : After the successful operation of Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express, Tejas Express (Tejas Express) will now start between Ahmedabad (Ahmedabad) – Mumbai (Mumbai) from tomorrow, January 17. Preparations are going on for the launch of Tejas train at Ahmedabad railway station. This train will leave for Mumbai from platform number 1 tomorrow. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and CM Vijay Rupani will flag off the train. This corporate train will run between Ahmedabad-Mumbai and train hostesses will also be present in the service of passengers.
The commercial operation of the train will start from Ahmedabad on January 19, 2020. Booking for this train had already started. Travelers can especially book tickets on IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in and its mobile app "Irctc Rail Connect". However, there will be no booking at railway reservation counters. Passengers can also book tickets for this train through IRCTC authorized agents. Train tickets will also be made available for booking through IRCTC's online travel portal partners such as Paytm, Ixigo, PhonePe, Make My Trip, Google, IBibo, RailYatri etc.
In this way, it will be another step of the Ministry of Railways in improving the overall travel experience of railway passengers by providing state-of-the-art facilities in trains.
This train number 82902/82901 will run on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Ahmedabad route 6 days a week. It will not be run only on Thursday, so that it can be maintained.
To ensure a high level of comfort to the passengers, the train will be equipped with all modern facilities. This fully air-conditioned train will have two executive class chair cars, each with 56 seats and 8 chair cars, each with 78 seats. The total carrying capacity of the train will be 736 passengers. The train will start its journey from Ahmedabad at 06:40 am and reach Mumbai Central at 1.10 pm, staying at Nadiad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi and Borivali. At the same time, in the return journey, the train will leave Mumbai Central at 3.40 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 9:55 pm.
