Certainly you by no means ate spaghetti like that

Meatball and spaghetti skewer. A combination that never disappoints is pasta with ground beef. But in the following way you have never eaten it. In this recipe you will discover a way to prepare meatballs with spaghetti and cheese, and fry them in tempura dough. A great snack for parties or a movie night with your friends!

For meatballs (approximately 15 meatballs):

500 g ground beef
80 g of ground bread
1 egg
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
200 g chopped cheddar cheese

For the pasta balls:

300 g of spaghetti (boiled in salted water)
1 egg
1 egg yolk
15 balls of mozzarella cheese

For the tempura dough:

160 g wheat flour
30 g cornstarch
10 g baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
360 ml of water with ice cubes


Skewer sticks

Preparation Mode:

1. First, prepare the tempura dough. To do this, sift the wheat flour, cornstarch and baking powder, and add salt. Mix everything well. Add water (the water has to be very cold; if necessary, cool it with ice cubes). Mix the dough tightly with a rod until bubbles come out and there are few lumps left. Refrigerate the mixture for half an hour.

2. Mix ground beef, egg, ground bread, parsley, salt and pepper in a bowl.

3. With your hands, form 15 flat cakes of ground meat and introduce a piece of cheese in the center of each one. Give them the shape of balls and refrigerate the meatballs.

4. Boil the spaghetti in salt water. Take out the water, add an egg, an egg yolk, a little pepper and let cool.

5. Now the "assembly" begins. Nail a meatball on a wooden stick, then a mozzarella ball, and wrap the latter with spaghetti. If you tie the pasta, it will be better attached to the stick.

6. Pour the tempura dough onto a flat plate and sprinkle half with paprika. Pass the skewer through the dough so that the light-colored dough dips the noodles and the dough mixed with paprika sticks to the meatball. Fry the skewers in hot grease and let them dry on paper towels.

To serve the skewers of spaghetti and meat, we recommend using several different sauces. It is a wonderful experience to bite these skewers and feel how the two types of cheese come from inside. A true culinary dream. Take advantage!
