The Finance Minister said that India will be the largest country in times to come and a new education policy will be announced soon. He said that 150 higher educational institutions would be started in the country by March 2021. He said that skilled training will be imparted in these institutes to be opened in the country. He said that a degree level online scheme for quality education will be started.

The Finance Minister has allocated 99300 crores for the field of education. The Finance Minister has allocated Rs 94,853.64 crore for the education sector in the financial year 2019-20.
A National Forensic Science University has also been proposed.

A total of Rs 4,600.66 crore was allocated to UGC.
