Abhishek Chaubey, director of popular films like Ishqiya, Dedh Ishqiya, Udta Punjab and Son Chiriya, is not getting a hero for his next film. Abhishek has been wanting to make a film on hockey magician Major Dhyanchand since his last film. After Dhyanchand's family spoke to Jhansi's media about the film, Shahrukh Khan's name for the lead role in the film was in full swing, but he flatly denied having any plans for such a film.

Abhishek Chaubey started his career as an assistant to director Vishal Bhardwaj in the film Spider. He was also an assistant director in Maqbool, The Blue Umbrella and Omkara and then got his first chance as a director 10 years ago in the film Ishqiya. Abhishek's films have been very popular but his film Son Chidiya released last year was a flop. Abhishek has not been able to announce his next film since then.

Abhishek's close confides that he is constantly looking for a big hero for his film, but so far no actor has said yes to his biopic. Abhishek has almost completed pre-production of the film and according to the family of Dhyanchand, the shooting of this film will start in July this year.
